The operating system returned the error '5(Access is denied.)' while attempting 'GetVolumeInformation' on '\\?\Volume{e6d8b681-0000-0000-0000-100000000000}\' at 'storagedmv.cpp'(463).

I get hundreds of error messages Can someone help me with this error:

Your errors are tied to Extended Events, in particular under management/Extended Events/Sessions/telemetry_xevents running under the NT SERVICE\SQLTELEMETRY account.


Kendra little discusses the potential to remove this, but I haven't been able to assess it's impact yet. I get these errors as well due to tight ntfs permissions. I'll try to follow-up if I get time to disable this event/account.
