Delete data from Sql Server as per DoD standard 5220.22m

Hi,

One of my clients wants me to completely delete data from sql server as per DoD standard 5220.22m, so deleted data should not be recoverable again.

Can any one help me out on this? please provide solution on this.

Thanks, Daya.

if we delete the sql data it should be completely erased from hard disk and any third party tool should not recover this data because it is confidential data.

So you're going to delete it from all your backups? How? And all those tape backups too? Again, how?

No not from backups, client wants if any data deleted from sql server database that data should be deleted from sql server and it should be completely erased from hard disk so that any tool should not recover that data, if the data is in backups no problem for them.
