Sluggish database after recovery

I, please i need urgent help! My production db went into recovery after server restart after we noticed that cache are not being flush and operations were dragging. Now we cannot even run a simple query on the db and even backup (diferential) are failing. This has now held up the entire industry for the past 9 hours! Please we need help or suggestions as to what to check or do. Thank you.

What version of SQL Server are you running? If the database is in recovery, the cache isn't the issue here. For some reason, SQL Server wasn't able to fully bring the database online after the restart. You won't be able to run any queries against the database if it is in a recovery state. Is there anything in the log file?
