SSRS Sharepoint Iintegration issues

HI All, I am currently deploying a SQL server setup which supports sharepoint db's which includes SSRS that will be integrated with the Sharepoint app. so far i have the db server , the sharepoint server and i also have ssrs installed on the sharepoint app server. i have configured ssrs through the ssrs config manager and can confirm that when i go to the //servername/reportserver url i see the reports links. if i go to //servername/reports i get the following message: This operation is not supported on a report server that is configured to run in SharePoint integrated mode. (which is what i expect to see) If i then go into the sharepoint central admin i try to add the reports url but get the following error: The report server instance is not configured correctly. Please use the Reporting Services Configuration tool to create a report server database in SharePoint integrated mode before setting integration options for this SharePoint Web application. as far as i can see the setup looks complete. has anyone seen this before and possible found a fix for this error? Thanks in advance.
