SSIS job in pending status

Hi, Running on MS SQL 2012 and Windows 2008 R2, a SSIS job shows pending execution. Duration on execution report continue to increase. However, it shows no activity when checking Active Operation. Tried Exec catalog.stop_operation @operation_id..ended with "The specified operation with ID '' is not valid or is not running.'. Is there a way to stop? Thanks. Chris
