ssrs error: The given key was not present in the dictionary.

I am using sql server 2016 express with ssrs. I have created report project in visual studio 2017 and the reports I have made work fine in preview. The shared datasource is pointing to the sql server express on the server. When I try to deploy the reports I get the error above. I cannot find a solution to this after days of google searches and reading.

I am pointing the deployement to the Web Service Url: \ReportServer_SQLEXPRESS.
