Filestable IN SQL

I need to know the advantage of Files-table. Can we use Files-table instead of share point filesystem? Any limitation of files-table. Can we save large amount of files in Filestable? Any performance issues are there?

Yes you can use filetables instead of Sharepoint however I'm not sure what type of data you are storing. I've never used them (yet) but I'd suggested reading the documentation from Microsoft: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/blob/filetables-sql-server as a starting point. I think it would really depend on your overall requirements and infrastructure to decide what's best. Not sure what you mean by "large amount of files". Is that in quantity of files or size of the individual files? Others here might be able to provide better guidance.

Thanks JohnM. large amount of files means number of files. Now we are using Sharepoint, And we are going to use SQL 2016 , So we are in search of using Files table. But no idea about its performance.
