How can I use Windows Authentication and custom Authorization in SSRS 2014?

Most articles I see confuse authentication and authorization. I want to override SSRS authorization but keep windows authentication. Is that possible? If so, how? I have created an extension that implements IAuthorizationExtension. What config settings need to be entered/changed?
