SQL Server has dependencies and also has no required dependencies

With reference to Article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/835185 Please elaborate on the following: SQL Server dependencies are Cluster Disk 1 and Name: SOFTY. SQL Server has no required dependencies. Those two statements appear to be contradicting each other, what am I missing? Thank you in advance for the clarification. Craig

Having read the article, and a few others, I think that you were right to ask MS for further clarification.

It's all down to the confusing labels and names given to various items in the diagram. See https://ask.sqlservercentral.com/questions/143846/understanding-failover-cluster-resource-dependenci.html
