Is there meant to be a space between " and the U of " UFC"?

If so, what's your backup script?

Hi Nyamekye

Check the permissions of the server principal mentioned in your error message, I believe they will need to have the db_backupoperator role membership within the database (assuming you need to stay at the database level). Also check the owner of the UFC database, try setting it to sa to see if that helps, sometime it can be an impersonation issue there.

Lets start at the beginning then. Did you install SQL server on your computer? Is the database one you have put on your computer and is the backup to be stored on the local machine?
