Compression on TDE enabled database

Hi friends, We have Transparent data encryption on our databases. Can we do Page compression /row compression on tables on a database which is TDE Encrypted. Are there any disadvantages. My assumption is there wont be any benefit of compression on TDE databases? As per this article https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd894051(v=sql.100).aspx it says there is no benefit of compression on TDE database. We are on SQL 2012

Yes, you can use compression, both page/row even with TDE. The article states that TDE does not impact the overall performance of utilizing compression. TDE just encrypts the pages at rest on the disk, so it'll just encrypted the compressed pages right along with everything else. Here's a good article from Denny Cherry on it: http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/sql-server/encryption-and-compression/
