SQL Server 2012 SP3 install failed

I have Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - 11.0.5058.0 (X64) May 14 2014 18:34:29 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.3 (Build 9600: ) and am trying to install SQL Server 2012 SP3 and it failed. It said I don't have .NET framework 2.0 or 4.0. However when I look in Programs and Features, I do have Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Multi-Targeting Pack. And when I try the 4.0 install of .NET framework, it says that a higher version is already installed. This is on a Windows Server 2012 R2. I will attempt to upload the log.[link text][1] TIAFYValuableH [1]: /storage/temp/4025-detail.7z

Try and follow the steps listed in the below link to check if you have .Net 3.5 installed or not: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/library/dn482071.aspx

It was installed. I added Non-HTTP Activation for .net 3.5 and WCF for .net 4.5. These were both checkboxes within the .net, so basically now all the checkboxes are checked for both .net. I restarted but still got the same error message on trying to install SP3. The error was: Action required: Use the following information to resolve the error, and then try the setup process again. Feature failure reason: An error occurred for a dependency of the feature causing the setup process for the feature to fail. Error details: § Error installing SQL Server Setup Support Files The Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or 4.0 must be installed on your computer before you can install Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Setup Support Files. Please install the .NET Framework 2.0 or 4.0 and then install Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Setup Support Files. You may try to uninstall .net framework and check that no instance remains. After that you may freshly install .net framework updated version. Hope this works for you...............
