Database mirroring from phyiscal server to virtual machine

Quick question... Is it possible to implement database mirroring between a physical machine and a virtual machine? In other words, can I mirror a database hosted on a physical server to a SQL instance hosted on a VMware?.Please share any Kb article or url that addresses this topic. Thanks

Yes. Mirroring is done at the SQL Server level so it doesn't really know about the underlying architecture (nor does it probably care all that much except for resource consumption). I would assume that if you followed the standard guidelines for setting up & configuring mirroring, it should work just fine. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190941.aspx
