Hiding generalised levels of hierarchy in SSAS

We have designed a cube with dimension that has an attribute with Parent- child hierarchy. Now i want to know how to hide the default level 01, level 02, etc when browsing the cube. i know that using Level Naming Template we can rename the level, but i completely want to hide it.

When browsing the cube via Excel you can hide the levels as you see fit via right-click menu. For example, activate the Browser tab of the cube page in Visual Studio and then click the "Analyze in Excel" button. This will open the new instance of Excel and show the pivot table field list. Drag the dimension on the rows. Once they appear, right-click on the top level and then choose "Show Hide Fields" from the context menu. There you can uncheck whatever levels you need to be hidden. Please have a look at the attached screenshot. ![alt text][1] Hope this helps, Oleg [1]: /storage/temp/3904-hierarchy.png
