Database maintenance plan update statistics error

I get an error last night , get the following error message: > **Executing the query "UPDATE STATISTICS [dbo].[tables] W..." failed with the following error: "The multi-par identifier " tables.Id" could not be bound.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established correctly.**

Stop using the maintenance plans and move to a better solution: [Ola Hallengren][1]'s scripts are an excellent replacement. They are more flexible and make use of features in your MSSQL version. [1]: http://ola.hallengren.com
