Hiding Columns By Default In SSRS

Hello, I know similar questions have been asked before, but I cannot seem to find anything that's on point. I am trying to build a report that has multiple grouping layers and I certainly know how to expand/contract the children in the grouping. However, what I do not know how to do is to define whether or not entire columns can have the same attribute. So, for example, if I have sales by region, then by customer in rows and my columns are obviously region and customer, but when I add additional columns, I'd like them to be hidden when the report renders the first time. The user would then have the option of drilling down, or in this case, drilling out, which is to say displaying the column. Also, the column should be entirely hidden and clicking on a yes/no type of parameter would be the trigger.
