Is it possible to override default SSRS 2008R2 parameters based on the user id?

I have a PTO report written for the payroll department which shows the time off usage for everyone. It's a drill down which shows the totals and then the details of date and type of absence (sick, pto, jury duty, etc.). The report defaults to show everyone, but allows the PTO Admin to select an individual if necessary. This same report will work for the individual user, if I can restrict it to only show the rows for that user. Is there a way to accomplish this? I've seen posts about hiding columns, but that's not what I need here. I know that the userId is one of the built in fields, but I'm floundering around trying to figure out how to set the default to be everyone if the person running the report is the PTO admin or the default is the user if not.

I've actually come across some articles which show how to filter content based on the user id, which is my preference. I'll see if I can't adapt one of those techniques to fit my situation.

What about setting up a linked report? It's essentially a link to the original report, but with parameter default values customised for a particular purpose. User security can also be customised for the linked report too.
