Move data from a local SQL db to cloud SQL server

We have SSIS ETL packages to populate a local datamart (for SSRS reports) from a local OLTP database. We are thinking to move the local datamart to IAAS(Azure/AWS). What are the ways we can move data from a local OLTP SQL server database (2014) to private cloud SQL server data base (datamart- SQL 2014/2016)? We are looking for a quicker migration to cloud with a minimum cost as far as ETL is concerned.

You can export local OLTP SQL Server database to cloud SQL with the help of Kernel Migrator for SQL Server software. It is an excellent utility to migrate SQL database files to Azure and Amazon RDS. It can easily export MDF, LDF, NDF files of SQL Server.

For AWS you could look into Data Migration Service:

In order to move local database to cloud SQL server you can use SysTools SQL to Azure Migration software. This program helps in migrating SQL Server database to Microsoft Azure SQL database. This tool also provides the functionality to migrate selective database objects to Azure.

Yes, there is a possibility of SQL database corruption when you move the database from local to the cloud. If a corruption occurs then, always restore the database from updated backup copy and if the backup is not available then, I will suggest checking this article: https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/6065/how-to-fix-sql-server-database-corruption-with-stellar-repair-for-ms-sql/
