How to Count Multiple Columns that are not null

I have an Access 2010 database of students & classes in a curriculum. I have built a query where the fields are StudentName & then the name of each class. For each record, we enter the date the class was completed in the appropriate field. Ex: StudentName Class1 Class2 Class3 (etc)
student1 5/6/16 7/8/16
student2 3/1/16 6/12/16 7/22/16
student3 4/9/16 I want to get a count of each class field showing a date (not nulls). In my example above, the result would return 2 for student1, 3 for student2, and 1 for student3. I'm having trouble writing SQL to do this properly. Can you help? Thanks in advance!
