SQL Profiler Filter

I have noticed that when I use any filter in profiler, such as clientprocessid or hostname, but select any of the "SP:" events my filter is not respected and I get returned all the results of the "SP:*" events but my filter is respected by all other events. Has anyone come across this issue? Is this a bug or expected behavior?
