WITH ENCRYPTION can slowdown performance of SP?

Hi All, I am using WITH ENCRYPTION in stored procedure to encrypt whole SP text. is there any performance issue generated because of that? i am working in product base company and we have recently migrate sql server 2014 from sql server 2008. now we are facing some performance related issues. so i want to know that using "with encryption" can slow down performance in 2014? is algorithm used in Sql 2008 and sql 2014 are different?

I haven't seen any issues using WITH ENCRYPTION between the different versions. In 2014 changes were made to the optimizer where i have experienced adverse performance issues that were not present before. After your upgrade did you update all statistics on all DBs? Does switching the database compatibility level to 2012 solve the problem? Some procs may have to be reworked.

Thanks Scot Hauder, we have upgrade our SQL Server from 2008 R2 to 2014 by using "upgrade advisor" and also we have update all statistics. but we have not performed Sp_recompile and Sp_refreshview on whole Database and also database compatibility level set 2008-R2. so these factors impact on performance ?

I would ask why you need to use WITH ENCRYPTION at all. Anybody with sysadmin rights can do decrypt them fairly easily.
