What actually happens in the background while a SSIS package is being created?

Hi all, Hope everyone is doing good. Hey, can any one explain what actually happens in the background of SQL SERVER while a SSIS Package is being created. what does SQL SERVER actually do to create a package? Help would be appreciated. Thank you guys in advance.

SSIS and SQL are different services. When a package is created you could either save it to sql server (package store or ssisdb) or a file system. The creation of ssis package is handled by ssis engine.
