How to convert existing reports to view on mobile/smart devices?
Hi, We are in process of evaluating best approach/practice/tools for enabling existing SSRS reports (developed in 2008/2012) for mobile devices. Does latest versions of SQL server offer any out of the box feature or migration tool to fulfill this need? Any recommendations for third party tools to do this kind of job? Thanks
Mobile reports are a different report type in SQL Server 2016. They're Enterprise Edition only. As they are different types, I imagine there are different rules about what you can and can't do, and how you do it. I'd be pleasantly surprised if there's a conversion tool. If nobody here knows for sure, you could download the release candidate and try it or you could ask on Microsoft's forum.
