How should I build a career in SQL BI?

I am a software engineer and have 2 years of experience in .net technology. i want to build career as SQL BI. Can any one guide me? Should I go through any certification?

Like any new career start with the basics. If you're a .net dev then you have Pluralsight already right? Watch a load of the SQL BI videos. Try and get involved with your internal BI team. Having a load of .net will help you a lot. Most BI dev struggle with C# for SSIS and BIML. If you have that before-hand you're on your way.

Thanks for response, highly appreciating your feedback thanks. Now Question is if i want to be a professional SQL BI than should i earn any certification? if yes than please give me some suggestion.
