Problem When i upgrade from SQL 2012 to 2014
Hi I have SQL 2012 and i upgraded it to SQL 2014 through the wizard without any problem But: - When i click SQL management it open SQL 2012 screen. ! - i check @@version and i found it is SQL 2014 version and it is ok. - I checked The programs which installed from the cpanel i found some SQL 2012 tools still there like : - Microsoft server SQL 2012 - Microsoft server SQL 2012 data-Tire app framework - Microsoft server SQL 2012 management objects - Microsoft server SQL 2012 native clients - Microsoft server SQL 2012 Policies - Microsoft server SQL 2012 setup - Microsoft server SQL 2012 Transact-SQL scriptdom - Microsoft server SQL 2012 Transact-SQL language service Why these files still there ?! what was the error through upgrading !
Don't worry, it's not just you. That's normal. I don't know why though. You should have a 2014 of all the tools like Management Studio, Configuration Manager etc. Just make sure you use those instead of the 2012 versions and you should be fine.
