SSIS Error Handling using Event Handler.

Hello Techie, I am following the process mention in the below given link for error handling in SSIS. http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/HTML/86897/ **is it possible to used send mail task instead of dbo.sp_send_dbmail.** and will it be possible to store the error in table for future reference. Kindly share your expertise comment,suggestion or solution.
