Formatting code links broken?

It looks as though something has gone wrong with the way that links are formatted. It used to be possible put something inside backticks to have it display as inline code, and then wrap a link block around it. But now, doing that doesn't work - well, it puts the link in, but doesn't format the [`PIVOT`][1] bit properly... Looks OK in preview, but doesn't look OK when reading the question / answer. Right, sorry - I misunderstood what you actually needed. Does it lose a ton of semantic value by not formatting as code?

Semantic value? not really in the example here, but it *is* a loss of functionality, and does affect other examples elsewhere more.
