How do I change the IP address of SQL SERVER 2008 instance on a virtual machine

Folks, I need help renaming the new SQL Server instance on a virtual machine and changing the IP address as well. Can someone point me in the right direction. A step by step direction will be awesome. Thanks For your help...

[MSDN Documentation on renaming a SQL Server][1] [1]: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143799(v=sql.105).aspx As for the IP change, you do this as you normally would at the network connection of the server.
