How to Start as a entry level SQL dev or DBA (isolated/contractor)

I am highly interested in becoming a full DBA, yet Im also %100 dedicated to the idea of working from home. Are there positions that would allow you to do so? If so where to start off, I JUST finished some courses online.

This might be your (very) lucky day. Brent Ozar is actually looking for a junior (or at least non-senior) DBA with 100% remote work. I will warn you, though. They are probably reviewing 1000 applications. Good luck! The world is constantly changing... but, I've yet to see anyone taking on a junior or entry-level DBA that is also in a work from home position. I suspect it's somewhat rare to find an employer who can both trust you to get stuff done while simultaneously trusting you to learn the position.

I should have mentioned earlier that I agreed with your comment, Grant. I actually did give it the thumbs up and was about to simply agree when I remembered Brent's recent announcement. It's very rare, but one lucky individual could get the chance of a lifetime. Firehose on-the-job training, lol.

Like I said, the world is constantly changing. It's all good. Well, most of it.
