SSAS Cube Monitoring

We are using SQL server 2012, We scheduled jobs to run the SSAS Cubes.Sometimes cube is going long running and we are unable detect the issue before the failure of the job. Is there any way we can monitor the cube closely.Like, How much % the cube processing is completed and what partitions/Aggregations etc are completed and how many are remaining and any expected time to complete.. Please let me know if we can get this type of info any where while running the cube.

If you're using SQL 2012 or later it looks like you have DMVs ( https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh230820(v=sql.110).aspx) or Extended Events ( https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg492139(v=sql.110).aspx). It also looks like there are PerfMon counters but those are probably more about resource usage than where it's got to.
