Use SSRS with SAS Cube?
My company has created a SAS cube and successfully connected to it using EXCEL. Now they want to know if SSRS can use the same cube. Is this possible? They do not want to create a new cube in SQLServer (or SSAS).
This article from MSSQLTips says that you can.

Thanks - but I am not talking about a SSAS data source. SAS is a statistical language that has been around since the 70's. It can create regular datasets and OLAP datasets - but they are not SQLServer objects. I guess the real question is if SSRS can consume a cube from any other database besides SQLServer. EXCEL can use SAS drivers to make connections directly to the SAS OLAP cube. I am wondering if SSRS can do the same thing.

We're getting closer! The link you provided shows how to access a regular SAS dataset in SSRS. We've already accomplished that, but now we want to consume a SAS OLAP cube. So far, no luck with that.
