What tools, be they COTS and/or OpenSource, are available where trivial learning curve/coding would enable select staff to insert, update or delete SqlServer 2k8 data ?

IBrief Summary: W&I’s Enterprise Telephone Database (ETD) stores data about IRS call center activity. The data is used for internal management and to report statistics to executives and external oversight. ETD currently runs on Windows Server 2003, an operating system that is out of support and presents security and stability risks. IT has mandated all systems migrate from Server 2003 to Server 2008. Current systems use ASP code to publish data in HTML tables and/or Excel. Are they unhappy with the data management tools they used with SQL 2005? Based on the information provided, I don't see the need to replace the tools that "select staff" currently use.

I agree. Whatever they're using in 2005, the same tool set will work with 2008.
