What if Always ON Async Secondary Replica goes down

Hi We are on SQL 2008 and are upgrading. We are configuring AlwaysON with 3 Servers with hybrid configuration. AlwaysON Failover Cluster Instance - Server 1(ative) & Server 2(passive) - For local HA AlwaysON Asnyc Secondary Replica - To offload Read/Reporting workloads My Question is about a reverse scenario. What happends when the ReadOnly Ansync Secondary replica server crashes/goes down? Will all the "ReadIntent" connections would be routed to Primary Read/Write Server automatically in this case?

The way that I read BOL, this depends on how you have configured access on the primary replica. > For the primary role, select a new value from the Connections in primary role drop list, as follows: > **Allow all connections** > All connections are allowed to the databases in the primary replica. This is the default setting. > **Allow read/write connections** > When the Application Intent property is set to ReadWrite or the Application Intent connection property is not set, the connection is allowed. Connections where the Application Intent connection property is set to ReadOnly are not allowed. This can help prevent customers from connecting a read-intent work load to the primary replica by mistake [ Taken from https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh213002.aspx ] So if you have configured this as read/write - then ReadOnly will not be allowed
