How do we transfer excel 2013 files to a sql server destination using ssis?

SSIS Question.

How do we transfer excel 2013 files to a sql server destination using ssis?

I have tried using excel source in ssis. But it is saying "views or tables can't be loaded.". I have checked the excel connection manager to see if any issues are there and I found it is listing only Excel versions 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 97-2003, 2007. How can I get excel version 2013 in the list. I am using visual studio 2013 to build ssis packages.

WHen you save the excel file excel gives you the option to save it as a .xls so it converts to an older version on excel. Either that or save it as a .csv file which is just a text file with all the values seperated by commas and SSIS can pick it apart well. Personally I have used both and they worked for me everytime.
