Removing Date suffix from file name

Hello All, May anyone Please help me on this. How to copy one directory from one location to another with all contents inside of it. I belive we can use here File system task editor, but i want to copy only present day directory. and how can we remove date suffix from the file name if date suffix exists. Thanks

PowerShell works great for this. I wrote a [blog post]( http://timradney.com/2011/07/15/my-first-powershell-script-to-move-folders/) about how to do this years ago. Basically use move-item in powershell.

Thanks Tim. will it possible to do something like renaming filename which inside directory from Unassigned By Editor_20141206 to Unassigned By Editor. just want to remove date suffix.

Sure, you should be able to pipe the contents of the folder into an array, then issue a rename for anything meeting a criteria.
