Microsoft Visual studio There were errors while the package was being loaded. The package might be corrupted?

the list of errors below. Error loading dim_ pos_app.dtsx: unable to load the package as XML because of package doesnot have a valid XML format. A specific XML parser error will be posted Error loading dim_ pos_app.dtsx: failed to load XML due to error 0*C00CE564 "A CDATA section was not closed,Line 10622,Column 38", This file occurs when loading a package and a file cannot be opened or loaded correctly into the XML document. This can be result of specifying an incorrect file name to the loadPackage method or specified XML iss an incorrect format.

This happens when you try to open an SSIS package from SSIS 2008 in a version of Visual Studio other than 2008.
