Deploying a cube

Hi I'm trying to deploy a cube but am receiving an error message, as follows: The project could not be deployed to the 'servername' server because of the following connectivity problems : A connection cannot be made to redirector. Ensure that 'SQL Browser' service is running. To verify or update the name of the target server, right-click on the project in Solution Explorer, select Project Properties, click on the Deployment tab, and then enter the name of the server. Now things to note that I have noticed, that may be of help in finding a resolution. I have gone to SSMS and when selecting "analysis service" in the top drop down menu, it shows 'local' but nothing else, and I haven't created 'local' or set anything up here. Would I need an analysis service set up? I've worked my way through the following link and am up to the 'deploy cube' section, which I cannot finish due to the above error. http://www.developerfusion.com/article/143031/building-your-first-data-cube/ Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Is the analysis services service installed? If not then you will need to do this before you can deploy a cube

Thanks for replying so quickly. The honest answer is I'm not 100% where I should be looking, but under start>allprograms>sqlserver2014>analysis folder there is only deployment wizard. would this suggest I need to download what you were referring to and install it?

Check which SQL services are running. Run>services.msc and look for SQL Server Analysis Services(MSSQLSERVER) - If you used the default instance.

Thanks. I've done that and the service isn't even listed.

Then you need to install Analysis Services from the SQL Server ISO/installation files that you have.
