SQLUA for SQL Server 2005 to 2012

It appears SQLUA for SQL Server 2012 is not supported on Windows Server 2003, on which we are running our SQL Server 2005. Does anyone know for sure?

SQL Server 2012 is not supported on Windows 2003, so perhaps that's why the Upgrade Assistant isn't either. That said, I found a post [here][1] that says "You may also need to install the Windows Installer 4.5 and the .NET Framework 4.0 if they are not already installed." Perhaps that would work or maybe not depending on the exact requirements check of the installer. Alternatively, you could run the advisor on a different computer as suggested [here][2]. Good luck.
