Sql Enterprise vs Sql Developer Edition

Hi I had two queries with respect to Sql Enterprise vs Sql Developer Edition 1) If I create a ssis package using developer edition can I schedule in Sql Jobs in Production which is having Enterprise edition 2)On my research of diff between Sql enterprise and Developer edition I found out that the only difference is we cant use developer edition in Production Let's say if both are same if I use developer edition in production what would happen

1) yes - in fact that is what it is for. Use Dev edition to build your packages/code/whatever, and then release to live. 2) It is a trust thing. If MS did an audit of your licensing and found that you where using Dev in live then they would fine you. And it is not like you can argue that you got mixed up or confused : it is clear that at <$100 the dev edition is not really priced for enterprise use. You might 'get away' with being under-licensed if you had 5000 CALs in your organisation, but where found to be using 5020 - they would probably simple ask you to make up the difference, but blatantly trying to get away with Dev edition is simply fraud. And given you have asked the question here in an public forum, you had better pay up!
