Questioners Closing Questions After Answer

I've seen a couple of instances this week of the person asking the question closing it completely after they receive an answer they like (and, shock of shocks, they actually marked the answer too). The first time I saw it, I reopened the question. But now I'm thinking, maybe that's the way it ought to be. Thoughts?

I've seen this too. I didn't like it either, closing feels like we are saying 'Right! No more on this - move on' - and in fact one of the reasons in the drop down for closing is "The question is answered, right answer was accepted" - so that suggests to people that it is a good reason for closing. I'm open to debate on this, but my gut feel is no - only close questions that should no longer be discussed - whatever they are?!?!? Any spam/offensive/duplicates we delete - not sure what 'closed' should signify.

Can't argue with this. Let's see if anyone else has a differing opinion. i'd think keep it open just in case better answers come along. Although, both instances they were your answers and they were typically overly complete and utterly helpful (you need to work on that).

Yes - sorry I need to use 'it depends' more often
