Sql error log

This morning out of nowhere I began to receive email alerts from the sql error log from 6 months ago. I cycle the error log on a regular basis and I don't see the error in any of the archived logs. How can I go about stopping this?

Hi You could narrow it down by taking a look at the email log. You could also run the following to see when emails are sent from the database, it's just a start for you so alter it as needed: DECLARE @startdate DATETIME = '2014-11-20 00:00:00' , @endate DATETIME = '2014-11-27 01:30:00' SELECT mi.recipients , mi.subject , mi.sent_date FROM [dbo].[sysmail_mailitems] mi WHERE mi.sent_date BETWEEN @startdate AND @endate Hope that helps a little.

Thanks I'll try this and see if I can get some more information.

I suspect it queued up on the email server side and thus there is nothing to do other than creating a rule (I assume you use Outlook) based on email content to delete them or move to the junk folder.

I thought about the email queue but the weird thing is the same error with the same time stamp keeps being sent. So it's not like there were a bunch of queued up alerts that were never sent.
