Is a snapshot on a database on a secundary replica possible?

We create a DWH database based on a snapshot (2K8 mirroring solution). Since we want to migratie to 2012 alwayson, is it possible to create a snapshot on a secundairy replica? And use the snapshot as a frozen state of the database to fill our DWH?

Yes it is possible to create a snapshot of a secondary to query from. I do not use it myself but I tried to create a snapshot of secondary replica database that is "aag'ed" and did a select from it. It worked like a charm.
