Database with FileStream

I have a database which size is only about 3GB but has file stream living on a different LUN. The FileStreamGroup LUN has about 200GB worth of data. My confusion is that the database backup is nearly 150GB (compressed). What is included in the backup of a database that has FileStream enabled? I have also read this article which has helped: http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/1854/how-to-backup-and-restore-a-sql-server-filestream-enabled-database/

Ok I wasn't sure if the full backup included the filestream data.

What is your confusion? Do you think the backup should be small or larger? A full back will included the filestream data along with the standard data files. The reason why it maybe so large (if that is what you are thinking) is that some files stored may already be compressed or partially compressed by their very nature (i.e. zip, jpg etc).
