Can someone change the contents of a backup?

Can any one read the data in backup.**Can they Change the contents Data**.As of i know it is stored in Page by page storage no one can read/write is it correct else **they is chance of changing Data in Backup**

That is far fetched. But someone like Mark Rasmussen in co op with Paul Randall could probably do it. Why are you asking?

You can read from the backup but officially there is **no** way you can change the content (write/updated) of the SQL Server backup file.
