Questions about backup and verify

It seems I cannot check if a verify was performed after a backup was made. There's a column for using CHECKSUMS but not for verify, correct? Any other options? If a backup seems to be ok, but the verify failed, is this backup still registered in MSDB? (never had this situation)

the verify is independent of the backup itself. So yeah, if the backup completes, it'll be in MSDB even if the verify fails.
