SQL SERVER Service broker: Poison message handling

Hi, I have implemented Service Broker in production environment. My queue becomes disable if i get erroneous message & all processing gets halted. I have found solution to set property of Poison_Message_Handling to OFF that will never disable my queue. I have verified that too it works fine. My question is that When i will modify my queue to set property Poison_Message_Handling to OFF. How would SQL SERVER engine behave/ respond to existing messages that are yet to be processed. Would those be discarded ? They would be executed in separate thread & would not be impacted ? i don't want to loose those messages. Thanks Saad
