SSDT 2012 deploy report rdl file to report server 2008?

I use SSDT 2012 to generate the reports. now I like to know if I deploy the reports to report server 2008, does it will cause any problem? Do I still need use BIDS 2008 to convert reports and deploy reports to report server 2008? Thanks!

I havn't checked this backward compatibility, Microsoft usually doesn't support this. There was an option of selecting target server version in 2008. Please check the same in 2012 and test your reports if available. I m not sure, but I think it should work as rdl is actually an XML file which can be easily read by 2008 server. But I m not sure. Please test you reports.
