Transaction log backup restore
I have a database of size 600 GB and we have a weekly backup of size around 500 GB and a latest daily differential backup of size 60 GB and I have 8 log backups, we are restoring the above backups on news server and mistakenly I have restored 5 log backup with recovery and still i need to apply 3 more log files to the database, Is there any way I can make the database to no-recovery with out restoring all the backups as the backup size is huge and it will take time.
No, I am not aware of any way to accomplish this. Once you've specified WITH RECOVERY, the engine will roll forward/back all of the transactions and bring the database online. You won't be able to apply any further backups. Sorry, but I think that you'll have to start over. Hope this helps!
