SSRS 2008 drilldown reports not accepting more parameters
Hi All, Thanks in advance. Can anyone please help me on this. I am using ssrs reports with sharepoint.When i pass combination of parameters like (parameter,Field). In the Report->Siries LabelProperties-> Action->Go to URL-> Here i am populating another report based on the previous report parameters. Iam passing 4 parameters.When i pass 4 parameters the link on series label on chart is not enable,but,If i remove any one of the parameters then the link is enabling. Can any one please help me how to pass more number of parameters from URL or is there any way to increase the count of the parameters in ssrs administration. Thanks, Prashanth Kumar M
Firstly, have you tested that your URL will work outside the context of the report? i.e have you tested it in IE8 - IE10? Secondly, how long does your link end up being with the four parameters? It may not be the fact that there are four, but that the thing gets too long to fit in whatever storage SSRS provides. Finally, can you give an example of a working and of a non-working link here? hth Mike
Thanks Mike. I have added that in sharepoint page and tested data is filtered perfectly but the hyperlink(i.e drilldown for the data) is not enabled with more than 3 parameters.Below is the non working screen and URL. ![alt text][1] [1]: /storage/temp/1389-screen+shots.jpg In the above screen underlined URL is working and last URL is not
working.At this point the link for data labels is not enable.If i remove any one or two parameters then the link is enabled. Is there any limit to pass parameters.
Hi Prashanth, firstly, Grant is very nice to mark my answer as the Accepted Answer, but he's incorrect, obviously, as we've not solved it yet. Next, I don't see (for whatever reason) your jpgs, so could you possibly copy/paste a working and a failing url into the text of a message for me please. Obviously you can obscure the domain, for example, but don't change the number of characters! tai Mike
