storedprocedure cannot open the table ""Database"."dbo"."Table"" from OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI10" for linked server "LinkedServer"

On SQL Server 2008, our stored procedure is not able to open the table ""Database"."dbo"."Table"" which is residing on the linked server "LinkedServer". Has anyone on the forum seen or encountered such an error? Could you throw some tips on how to tackle this?

PS: We do not suspect login problems and access rights given to the stored procedure because this was working until few days ago.

It's a common error when the security has changed or the structures have changed on the linked servers. Something changed somewhere. At no point have I hit this type of error without there being modification, usually security related.

Try this: [linked server name].[database name].dbo.[table name].
